A contemporary and casual front yard with lots of details in Solana Beach

Krista’s clients on this small beach lot wanted to have an outdoor room where they could greet neighbors, enjoy a casual cocktail, or sit with friends and enjoy a fire. Laurel Smith of Crow’s Perspective Design updated the home with accordion-style doors that lead to the new deck and graphic finishes and furnishings. Krista added lots of mixed textures and colored foliage including a deep red “privacy screen” made of kangaroo paws and detailed all the planters with rare and interesting plantings. The new “room” expands the house and gives these fun-loving clients more opportunities to enjoy their home.
